A Wind Mitigation Report identifies structural and architectural features of a building that will help reduce wind damage during a severe weather event such as a hurricane, tropical storm or tornado. Qualified features identified on the report are generally considered credits. More credits equals more wind premium discounts. Most buildings have at least one or more credits.
Some of the Structural & Architectural features will include:
Any of the above items as well as other potential credits that qualify will be verified and reported on a OIR-B1-1802 form as well as all required sets of photos. Free standing Wind Mitigation Reports are available for $175 each or if added on to a Standard Home Inspection the report is discounted to $75. See pricing HERE.
